A living room is not a work space unlike a kitchen or a home office or even a bathroom, yet it has more diverse demands placed upon it than any other room in the house. For one person, it could be enjoying a drink with friends; for another, it could be curling up with a good book. It is the most unrestricted of family spaces, yet it must have a warmth and intimacy to calm and soothe the individuals who live there. Check out the many uses of the living rooms.
Can’t you just see this living room designed for a fun party? This room is arranged in such a colorful party theme way. What about a sweet sixteen party or maybe a night out with girls. This room is inspiring if nothing else I just love this room.
Check out this blast from the past vintage twist holiday gathering living room. You can see all the party treats such as the vintage cocktail caddy filled with mixed nuts. Isn't this just comfy!!! when you can have a motorcycle in your living room you know its casual fun. Source ChicagoHome and Garden
Hosting a baby shower in a living room is an option for many when there is a limited budget but where do you put the gifts and how do you hang the decorations? Here is a room that did just that!!! As you can see that the host used limited decorations and she put all the gifts by the fireplace which is more often than not the focal point of the room.

So what do you do when you have to do everything in your living room? This is what you call an all in one room. This room is lovely despite the fact that the homeowner has to sleep in this room along with sit and entertain here. If this was my living arrangement I wouldn't be mad at all, as long as it looks like this!!! Room done by: Blair Waldorf
Another all in one room!! How great is this, the walls with the brick is all out beautiful but lets talk about the uses of this room!! not only is it a living room but also an office, Library and a place to sleep. This is very smart. Rooms done by: Blair Waldorf
OK, let’s face it!!! If some of us didn’t have a living room!! Really, where will the piano live? I must say “looking at this living room its eye candy for me" I wouldn’t mind my piano living in there as long as I get to look at it. I love candy for the eyes….
So.... What demands are placed upon your living room? Does your living room perform many duties such as baby showers, all in one room or is it a place where the piano lives?
